KeeGuard® Fall Protection System
A Simple and cost effective rooftop railing system that does not penetrate the roof membrane
Safety recommendations for the protection of maintenance personnel in countries all over the world are moving to a "hierarchy of safety" where collective fall arrest and prevention solutions, as provided by The KeeGuard system, are preferred over singular fall protection alternatives such as harnesses and wire systems. Simple and cost effective, the KeeGuard modular railing system is specifically designed for flat or low sloping roofs ( 3 degree pitch). The KeeGuard system prevents falls, ensures rooftop safety, and does not penetrate the roof membrane. The KeeGuard Roof Edge Fall Protection System can be used for retrofitting to older buildings as well as for new construction. Safety regulations for roof edge fall protection guardrails vary according to the country. The KeeGuard system has been tailored to meet and exceed the regulations for each country in which it is sold.
An Engineered Rooftop Fall Protection System
The KeeGuard system employs a tested and proven counterbalance system for its roof edge railing. Because the KeeGuard system has modular components, it can be configured to fit almost any rooftop including circular and bi-level, and can be designed to fit around rooftop equipment or obstacles. The KeeGuard system can be used for roof edge fall arrest or protection walkway demarcation, stairwell and open lift shaft fall protection. It can also be used to fulfill a variety of additional safety requirements. The KeeGuard system is fully tested and meets or exceeds current safety requirements.
Ease and Simplicity in Fall Protection
The KeeGuard system is designed for easy rooftop installation. Adjustable uprights allow up to 11 degree raking from vertical movement. No drilling, special anchoring or penetration of the roof membrane is required. No welding, bending or threading required on site. No special tools needed to complete a reliable and safe rooftop railing installation. The system uses reliable Kee Klamp® components. A simple hex end torque wrench is used to tighten the set screws to a recommended 39 Nm (29 lbs/ft). Assemblies that come in contact with the roof membrane are fitted with an anti-slip rubber pad.
Safety Compliant Rooftop Fall Protection
KeeGuard assemblies use components that are TÜV tested and approved. Integral toe board fixing holes allow full safety compliance. KeeGuard Fall Protection meets or exceeds Safety Standards prescribed by HSG-33 Health & Safety in Roof Work, HES Specialist Report No 15: 1988, HSE Sheet 21 "Working on Flat Roofs Protection Against Falls", BS 6399: Part 2 1995 Wind Code, EU Directives & CDM Regulations, Health, Safety & Welfare regulation 13 "Falls or Falling Objects" 1992, EN ISO 14122: PT3, OSHA, Ontario OHS Act, and International Health and Safety Regulations.
A Comprehensive Fall Protection Program

Lifeline, fall restraint, and fall arrest systems require individual equipment and specialized training. The KeeGuard system acts as a passive barrier and protects all personnel, even those who may access the rooftop infrequently. The KeeGuard Roof Edge Railing System works along side your existing personal fall protection devices.Important Note: The KeeGuard Roof Edge Railing System cannot be used as a tie off point or attachment point for personal fall protection devices. Only approved devices as prescribed by your personal equipment vendor can be used as tie off or attachment points.
Versatile Fall Protection
The KeeGuard system is considered a permanent rooftop railing system, but because of the integrated modular components, the system can be taken apart and reinstalled if necessary. The KeeGuard system easily accommodates roof repairs, building additions, and railing system expansion.
