Horizontal Life Line Systems are the answer to providing
fall arrest protection where guard-rails are not able to be installed
or planning considerations dictate the need for a virtually invisible
solution. PWC as the installers for a variety of horizontal life
line systems provides the operative with complete continual "hands-free"
protection throughout the length of the system. When a bracket
is encountered the link device, attaching the operator to the
system, glides over the bracket without the need to detach from
the fall arrest protection system. The system can be installed
to any steel cladding panel, beam/column structure, solid parapet
walls and flat roofs via utilisation of a support post.
Certification: The System has been tested
successfully to BS 7883:2005 Code of practice for the design,
selection, installation, use and maintenance of anchor devices
conforming to BS EN 795: 1997 Protection against falls from a
height anchor devices - Requirements and Testing.
Legal requirement: All fall arrest systems
& PPE equipment need regular inspections and re-certification
in accordance with BS EN 365 : 1993 Personal Protective Equipment
against falls from height - General requirements for instruction
for use and marking. This can be carried out by PWC as a service
contract and included within the quotation for the system
