Water ingress is a common problem on buildings over
20 years old due to degraded mastic. Whilst the repair or replacement
of mastic is a straightforward exercise, gaining safe access to
the work area can be difficult.
For example, a cradle is not always available or
it nay not be possible to access all areas using the cradle and
the use of scaffolding can be prohibitively expensive. Sometimes
the use of a hydraulic platform can be a cost-effective solution
but, where this requires permits and/or road closures, abseiling
using rope access can provide an economical alternative.
In all cases we will use the most cost-effective,
safe and least disruptive method of access to get the job done
efficiently and we provide impartial advice on which method is
most appropriate in the circumstances.
